We got to go camping with some friends of ours a couple of weeks ago. It was lots of work, but definitely worthwhile.
Here are the 3 girls--ours on the left--ages 2, 3, and 5. They (mostly) had fun all weekend together...playing games, swimming in the river, going for hikes, eating s'mores...
A stick...the best thing he found to play with all weekend!! He is boy, thru and thru...

camping...where playing in the dirt is an expectation.
